Re: Pros and Cons of Eschalon II
Someone has already pointed out a fighter is better off with wisdom I think 25 or 30 to grab all the needed boost spells like Bless & Ogre Strength, etc vs a pure boosted fighter. Look, I'm just sad that there is no specialization with the characters. The game, yes, need to move in 1 of 2 direct...

Re: Pros and Cons of Eschalon II
Just to emphasis my post, I loved the games and think they are great. Overall, I just wish I could play this game with more customization of characters and play it like an endless monster mode kind of thing. It's fun to get deep in to a D&D type game, but sometimes I want to turn my brain off an...

Pros and Cons of Eschalon II
I've played both books. I've had a lot of fun in both, but I kind of wish someone else could chime in on a few things I've heard on the forums and in the past from: GOOD - Graphics. Phenomenal, into. good upgrade on pretty much the entire land - Great revision to illustrating the 3D sprites to show ...

Re: What's missing??
Gosh, I started playing book 2, so careful of my nooby comments. NOt missing, but the movement seems a bit annoying. I like when I click on an object and the character will move to that object. Would also have been nice to navigate via up-down-left-right arrow keys vs mouse (i'm sure there must bea ...

Re: Book II Game Rules: Hit or Miss?
OMGoooodness. I waited so long to play Book 2 that I totally forgot about the game. Really nice job on upgrading the website. It looks like all the upgrades are right on target from Book1. All I hope is that there is a bit of diversity from playing vs. in book 1. Anyhow..I'm excited to try it out..w...

Re: Book II design question
So beautiful. Such a perfect solution!1) where you are, 2) what your level is, and 3) the container itself.

Re: Do you want loot/pick lock/disable trap to be changed ?
For lack of a difficulty level setting Well, that is exactly what I would love to see happen. I'm eons better than all of you cheaters The sad part is here I am a designer by day, so it just pains me to see poor design solutions. Rerolling is unfortunately needed in this game, it just takes away fr...

Re: If you achieve Destroyer, post here [spoilers]
The problem with book1, was by the last 1/3 of the game. Everything and anything was easy to kill.
Re: destroyer, If the guards had a couple archers and a couple spell casters, then would have been a true challenge.

Re: Can't find Erubor in Shadowmirk
I've said this before, but the puzzles I hate more than any other are random puzzles that cannot be solved through either logic or gained information I love logic puzzles and loathe puzzles that need information that someone said. PS - Sad Evnissyen you didn't like the bee puzzle with pushing lever...

Re: A more interactive world for Book II.
Maybe i misinterpreted the original post, but I think the original post idea is referencing the idea of playing the "game of life". As in, if I play an RPG, I want to see the maximum # of options available for things: INTERACTIVITY: - pick up objects on a table? - kick/push barrels? - slee...

Not sure if this is sidetracking this conversation but:
One of my all-time fav aspect of book is NO RESPAWNING. I wouldn't mind seeing respawning in some kind of aspect, but I extremely enjoy the fact of not having to keep reclearing the same area killed area.

Re: Spell costs way too high.
No doubt. I have kudos for anarki doing well with the mage and I'm sure there are plenty others. Straight mages are still hard to come by. When I was playing mage all I did after every fight was just quick path to the first town and rest over night. Wash, rince and repeat. Perhaps boring is the inco...

Re: A pretty nifty idea for Book II.
It is a decent idea, although there are tuns of better ideas to think about more that could ring in more downloads/purchases. Having a story mode & challenge mode in the beggining could do that. Challenge mode is seperate from beggining mode and it would work like levels of dungeons that need to...
