If I could have, I'd have voted for Getharn's 1st logo.
I voted for the old logo. Like others, I don't like the bar over the A.

Re: Reinventing yourself:
I didn't think it was lame, either. I used to like/identify with the Sorcerer the most. Lately, though, I have been using a Bard as my 'face' for the party, so I guess I'd have to say that I am liking/identifying with that character the most. And...although I can't sing worth a lick, or play a music...

Re: Female vs male character attributes and skills
I am a feminist...and have been for a long time. I don't have a problem with gender based points in strength and dexterity. I think I would have a problem, though, if the skills were gender based. Overall, physical characteristics are different between the sexes, generally. If attributes that are n...

Re: Spore
I've heard that once the Spore DRM is installed on your computer, the average player can't get it off, even after finishing the game. It's been known to damage both software and hardware and some software won't run after DRM is installed. Software intended for "legal" purposes. Plus, it ap...

Re: Basilisk use Plimus to process payments :-(
I had a bit of a problem with the email required. I couldn't use Yahoo or Gmail. Don't use email through my internet provider (lost the password), so had to use my work email, which is not the best of choices, IMO. I use Yahoo as a catch-all email service. I use Gmail for family, close friends, etc....

Re: Book II design question
I have no programing experience or even knowledge, but if it isn't too hard, maybe the loot, trap, pick randomness and results could be tied to an "easy," "normal," "difficult" or "insane" option chosen at the beginning of the game. That way, it would be entir...

Re: Female vs male character attributes and skills
MALE: While exceptions do exist, males are generally larger than females. With greater body mass, males on average tend to possess higher maximum strength than females. Selecting to play a male character grants you a +1 Strength bonus. FEMALE: Females tend to be of smaller build than males. With le...

And...when it does, it puts a manic ping pong game to shame! Zipping here and there with no reason or logic to speak of. Or at least mine does. Then, next morning after a sleepless night, try recalling anything of consequence.Dragonlady wrote: What can I say? At 63 the mind doesn't work fast anymore!

Re: games really are for guys
I tried the Sims, back when it first came out, I think. I got bored and quit playing. Then, more recently, my daughter was going to get the Sims for my teen granddaughter. She had heard that some Sims couples could become graphically romantically inclined, and wanted to know if that was true. I told...

Re: games really are for guys
Throughout history, women have traditionally been gathers, while males hunters. It's only been about a century or two, since those roles have changed or become invisable. So with literally 1000's of years of coding the male body to hunt, all the testosterone can relate closely to males desire to pl...

Re: Do you want loot/pick lock/disable trap to be changed ?
I don't think it is so much the reloading/choice of how to play issue, as that the randomness of the loot feels unbalanced. I don't demand good loot in every barrel/chest/drop, but I do expect more than nothing, nothing, nothing, a rock, nothing, empty flask, etc. Maybe I am not a good player, but I...

Thanks. I got one...but it has to wait until I finish with Eschalon I.
Probably be awhile. I'm slow.

Re: RPGs that influenced me the most...
In the very first game I can remember playing, the main character was called "Avatar" I believe. I can't remember the name of the game. It was difficult to move the character around. Then I went to consoles, because they moved better, IIRC. I'd have to say that Zelda, even though it wasn't...
