I voted for sci-fi just because there haven't been that many good ones. Although you might not call it a true RPG, I have played more hours of X-com than any other game I own. I still play it to this day. So many developers have tried to re-hash the brilliance of the original and they have all faile...

Galifrey, great review, I have been to the Basilisk's lair a few times and seen the game in action a few times, your description was much better than anything I could have come up with. No one on here will be dissapointed by this game. The Wrangler is a pretty humble guy, he and his team have put a ...

I had the privelidge of actually seeing the intro and start of the game in the Basilisk Wrangler's own lair. You guys won't be dissapointed. The interface is clean and easy to use, the game is very user friendly and the graphics, sound and lighting are fantastic. This game looks like something you w...

I noticed games finally passing me by about a year ago. I went from meeting or exceeding recommended specs to being a bit ahead of the minimums. Looks like I've finally fallen off the edge. I've upgraded my rig about as far as it will go, so my next jump is to pass it down to the kids and start ove...

Re: Some thoughts
I think the square directly behind the character should get a bonus. Either that or if a creature is behind the player, shields become ineffective, so does dex bonus. A properly trained fighter should be able to protect against attacks except for attacks directly from behind. If a player can backst...

I agree that I liked the Morrowind system, it was the first one that was truely fair in my opinion. One thing I hate is when I sell somehthing to a store and then it's not available for resale. I had that problem in Avernum, where I needed fine steel to complete a side quest, and literally sold 30 b...

Futuristic/Sci-FI RPGs....are there any?
All this talk about the classics got me thinking about an old game I used to really enjoy. It was called X-Com. It wasn't quite an RPG in the true sense that you controlled a single soldier, but you could manage each one in a limited sense. To those who don't remember it. The concept was that aliens...
