Re: light sources, darkness, and archery

A Cat's Eyes potion or a light spell will do the trick. There's no way to drop a lit torch aside from putting it into a empty wall sconce.

If you are looking for games that are out of print, you're only choice is places like eBay and Amazon. Where else do you expect to buy them (legitimately)?

Old-School Classic CRPG goodness...

Just thought I'd post this link I've found. It's a page listing just about every classic CRPG ever released, with screenshots, videos, and, most importantly, downloads:

A true gem of a site for any retro-CRPG fan.

Nice... Eschalon is number 2, just behind The Witcher.

Definitely the first option. I have no slowdowns whatsoever, game runs perfectly. Eschalon has quite possibly the best graphics and effects of any current indie CRPG. It adds a lot to the atmosphere. Besides, not for nothing, but if your PC is having trouble running Eschalon, it's probably from the ...

I did it no problem... buffed with Bless, Enchanted weapon, Ogre Strength, Stoneskin, and haste (while it lasted). I was barely scratched, didn't even have to heal.

Edit: Did you guys really think this wasn't possible?

I had both of these keys left over after finishing the game and completing every quest. I must have picked those two doors open.

Also, remember that this game is turn-based, and every move you make is a turn.

Very good game, IMO. Bought it and played it a few years ago. Plays exactly like the old Bard's Tale series, with some added stuff like crafting, and additional classes. Very fun, and very old school (to the point of giving the option to play it w/only the keyboard, no mouse.)
