A Cat's Eyes potion or a light spell will do the trick. There's no way to drop a lit torch aside from putting it into a empty wall sconce.

Any ring works, and I used a mace for smashing victory.

I did it no problem... buffed with Bless, Enchanted weapon, Ogre Strength, Stoneskin, and haste (while it lasted). I was barely scratched, didn't even have to heal.

Edit: Did you guys really think this wasn't possible?

I had both of these keys left over after finishing the game and completing every quest. I must have picked those two doors open.

Also, remember that this game is turn-based, and every move you make is a turn.

Questbusters! Holy crap, that brings back memories. I think I still have a few issues lying around in my basement.

Very good game, IMO. Bought it and played it a few years ago. Plays exactly like the old Bard's Tale series, with some added stuff like crafting, and additional classes. Very fun, and very old school (to the point of giving the option to play it w/only the keyboard, no mouse.)
