That's just plain awesome, EA deserves an award for that move.Jedi_Learner wrote:Electronic Arts don't want you talking about DRM!
Oh, and if you do, you'll get banned which means you'll have to buy the game again. Smooth.

Re: Spore
I've heard that once the Spore DRM is installed on your computer, the average player can't get it off, even after finishing the game. It's been known to damage both software and hardware and some software won't run after DRM is installed. Software intended for "legal" purposes. Plus, it a...

Re: Rangers - What's the Best Approach?
Good one elsol. Concentration seems like a waste of points by now really, at least in comparison to dexterity.

Re: Spore
From what I've heard alot of content that appeared in previews was removed, such as the fl0w -like stage... :/ However, I enjoy tinkering alot with my PC, and reinstall my OS ever so often, so it's a no go with that freaky DRM and install limit. I doubt I'd even bother downloading it, I'd rather not...

Re: Rangers - What's the Best Approach?
Since you can purchase the bow skill later on I went with a rogue instead to get experience points from picking locks. Therish, Druidic. Might as well pick Nefarious for the damage bonus really, I prefer faster regeneration, although it wasn't a problem to me after level 10-12. I rerolled the attrib...

Some more criticism after finishing the game (spoilers)
I suppose most of the valuable feedback has already been given, but I just finished the game and felt like writing a couple of lines. Game Difficulty Insanely easy. I picked the rogue class, therish, druidic. Rerolled the dice until I got 14 in both dexterity and concentration. I saved most of my sk...

Re: Build-a-Rogue
Have you tried out Haste? It seems awkward having to choose between the two schools, so I figured I'd go ahead and try meeting the minimum requirement (15) to cast that spell.

I definitely remember a homework assignment related to something about the probability of getting a certain colour of socks in a drawer with x socks, and y different colour settings, there being a red socks, b blue socks and c green socks.

Way to go... It's been four years since I finished school and I already forgot how to count.
Isn't it supposed to be 6*5*4*3*2*1?
I know it's really offtopic but I can't find any of my old books on mathematics.

Re: Build-a-Rogue
Any progress on your builds? I rolled a rogue myself, went with swords as starting skill (5), saved all my skill points after that. Maxed out dexterity and concentration, leaving concentration at 20 later and pushing dexterity higher and higher. I was patient and waited until I got to the trainer lo...

PS - Sad Evnissyen you didn't like the bee puzzle with pushing levers cause it was quite logical. Off-topic: In what way was the lever-pushing-puzzle in the Whistling Cave logical? There's no hinting at what the solution could be, all you can do is either take a guess at what? Like 720(?!) differen...

I only read through the first post, and didn't see this mentioned anywhere, so here goes. I'd really appreciate a more minimalistic and uncluttered GUI in Book II. It's a pretty GUI as of now, even the map has an underlying texture, and compared to similar games with a similar GUI layout, it's a win...

Not sure if this information is useful, but I also have a MacBook Pro that I purchased in August 2007. It is 2.4 GHz with 2 GB. With all graphic settings on maximum, I get a performance of 11. I have never noticed any slowdown. Are you using Tiger or Leopard? Which version? Worth a shot, no idea if...
