I've heard lots of good and lots of bad about the game. I played the demo, it didn't really do anything for me, basically being a hack and slash RPG format.
It's not free, but it's probably very cheap to buy now. There's a sequel called Beyond Divinity which I've only heard terrible things about.

Well, ideally I'd like to see small like-items stack (so food, potions, ammunition, that sort of thing). I wouldn't want huge inventories, that's difficult to manage and very unrealistic. A modest-sized inventory means you have to think about what you need to carry, and what you can do without. Too ...

Character follow-through should only really happen if Book II is a continuation of the events of Book I. Otherwise, it wouldn't really make a lot of sense. Book II may tell a different story in a different part of the world, in which case a new character (or group.. though I prefer a single characte...

Which is a great shame, since it seems that the ideas and ability were there, but it just didn't get finished. ...

I think it would be interesting to see your map get filled in with more pertinent details as one's Cartography skill increases. Start with a basic, rough map, and as the skill rises, more details are filled in. Starting with major roadways, landmarks and geographical features, then displaying more s...

I'm all for realism in RPGs, and so few RPGs incorporate food and water survival systems these days. I think the intial outline idea is an ideal way to go about handling food and water, it's there, but it's not something that you have to tend to every ten minutes or face disastrous consequences. It'...
