Re: Show us your custom character portrait!
@Evnissyen: What is the specialisation of your Dick characters? Weapons of mass destruction? No, using the Dick avatar gives the Player access to the Shotgun, which is only effective on friendly units. I think he THOUGHT it would give him access to WMDs but he wasn't able to fin...

Re: Dexterity doesn't improve hide in shadows
Already there is a lot of mathematics going on under the hood when it comes to HiS- checking luminosities of tiles, ... When I saw this I remembered another post of yours where you said, you still didn't figure out, why cat's eye seems to bread HiS sometimes. Probably this is too simple, but it com...

Re: Frustrating
I'm getting really frustrated with this game. No manual and no way to figure out how to do the simplest things. So how do you detonate a powder keg? Somebody mentioned in another thread about shooting it with a bow but I don't see anyway to target an object at a distance with a weapon. 1. There is ...

Smells like a preparatory post from a spam bot for me.
Edit: But discussions started by spam bots are often very funny.

Re: What's missing??
The only problem with this is that it will impair cross-platform usability, as Mac-users who have single button mice use cntl-click in place of right-click. Perhaps if these were linked to cmd-click instead (or would that inconvenience Windows users?). If the possibility was added to map keys/mouse...

Re: Doesn't run on Ubuntu Jaunty 64b bit
It`s really a case of how the program BlitzMax made assumptions, and compiled the code with unnecessarily high dependency requirements. The same could easily have happened, if BW had compiled the Windoze version on Vi$ta or Win 7, and the program had assumed that DirectX 10 or 11 were necessary to ...

Re: Shoe on the other foot
To twist a favorite quote of one of the regulars here... Hidden and/or Invisible enemies should be an important part of this complete breakfast! You head into the sewer system and all of a sudden you see a spinning knife coming your way... but the assassin is hidden! You can't see him on the screen...

Re: [HELP!!] How can I get to the island in Greenriven Lake?
I went there very early and ended up doing a lot of running back to town before I finally managed to finish the place off. My experience was similar, I decided to stop the side quest half ways and came back later. This seems to be a general trend: In my second play through I went straight to port K...

I see. That shouldn't be a big problem then.xolotl wrote: It just needs to be compiled on an older distro, is all.

Re: Doesn't run on Ubuntu Jaunty 64b bit
IMHO an operating system which has this kind of problems is not very useful. Why should a game developer be forced to either constantly modify his software after release or to distribute his source code? He should have the possibility to distribute something static and the OS should provide backward...

Re: Petrified wood
IMHO the best solution for this would be as follows:
The vendor, whom you sold it to, keeps the item in his inventory (which otherwise changes regularly). So you can buy it back later.
This ways you get punished but are not lost.

I believe it won't work because IIRC the trainer only trains you after you had the dialogue with him about being the murderer.

Re: Console command for teleport
Ooh, I would certainly like a keyboard shortcut specifically geared for the Portal spell. Maybe just "P" or something... You can assign spells to the 1-9 keys: Call the spell menu, select a spell and select the strength. Don't close the menu, but hit the 1-9 key which you like to assign. ...
