Well, I got my hands on a copy of Divine Divinity, though it's without a manual (one of those jewel-case only bargain releases). First impression - what the heck is with the fog of war?! Is my character severely near-sighted or something? He can't see 15 feet away from himself, and this is a serious...

I played the demo for Kult and it was ok, but I think I stuck with it just because of Tom Baker's narration, which was easily the best part. Been played the Evil Islands demo, which has some nice gameplay, but again it's the pre-defined PC, and he is really irritating to boot. Long dialogue cut-scen...

Even though it's not fantasy, I'm looking at JA2. Gametap has it and I've been considering setting up an account with them, so I'll probably give that game a try. Has anyone played Evil Islands? Been playing the demo and it looks pretty neat. Early 3D engine, so it's a bit clumsy but you can do some...

Just to clarify the dark comments, the dungeons are dark to the point of making you feel like you're stumbling about in the dark, you can sort of see but not really. This is why you bring lots of torches! If you don't have any illumination source, you'll hear critters but not see them (though even w...

I'm not really sure I can answer that in any way above and beyond what I wrote in my original post. It's not gloomy and foreboding like Diablo, it feels like a wilderness fantasy. Lots of greens and earth tones, sounds of birds and water, nice ambient lighting and so forth. Dungeons are very dark, a...

I figure if I don't go off on at least one tangent I'm not having a proper conversation.
Speaking of which we ought to stop cluttering the Q&A thread.

I wasn't implying that it was, I was just off on a tangent

[quote="Rune_74"] Also, a scifi game by you guys would rock something like 2048 AD(I think that was the title, but modernized) /quote] Nonono no.. Cyberpunk. Full-on turn-based with a solid story and lots of tactical options. Open-ended approaches, a rich complex urban sprawl, dangerous an...

I think the little serifs are a nice nod to the old RPGs without being over-blown. You look at the classics and they were filled with serif-heavy "medieval" fonts that were a real pain to read.

I read that you can place items in containers, chests and such, but can you set them on the ground? And if so do they decay? Nothing bugs me more then not being able to reshuffle something just because I can't set something down for a second. I've been playing a certain high profile online game, an...

It'd be neat if you could import your Book 1 character as an NPC. Have an encounter of some sort, say in a town or city, with the "hero" from the events of Book 1, and if the player has a Book 1 character it'll show up there, and if not there'll be a stand-in. It could have dialogue that's...

Certainly have played SS2. But I'm not looking for sci-fi right now (for that, I fully intend to give Deus Ex another go with the re-texture mods).

Been thinking of checking out some NWN mods.. That just means re-installing, patching, downloading haks, files and on and on and on.

That's awesome :D

Reminds me of when Thief 2 came out, they put that ragdoll physics engine in it, I had so much fun knocking out guards and tossing them down staircases, just to see them slide down, their heads bouncing off each step and them collapsing in some bizarre pose at the bottom.
