Re: Wasteland 2 Kickstarter

I agree with the point that Obsidian/Avellone has done nothing for the old school TB gamer. But the same thing can be said for Fargo/Inxile. If I am allowing Fargo to use the "It's all the publisher's fault" excuse, I'll give Avellone the same leeway. If I am willing to trust Fargo to use ...

Re: Wasteland 2 Kickstarter

From the rate at which the donations have increased it seems that more people trust a Fargo/Avellone collaboration than not. Just considering the move from a business standpoint it really shows how good Fargo is at raising money. I hope he is equally good at project management. Obsidian and Avellone...

Re: Wasteland 2 Kickstarter

I've always thought their had to be a business model for making RPG's somewhere between indie and AAA.

Wasteland 2 Kickstarter

One of the main reasons I hang around this forum waiting for news about Eschalon Book3 is that I love RPGs with TB combat. Since there are so few of these games being made these days I'm always on the hunt for new ones. If you like TB games you might be interested in this: http://www.kickstarter.com...

Re: A New Year, a new update!

I hope the use of new artists and continuing sales of EB1&2 are signs of a stable business model. The only kind of game I really like is the western style TB RPG and they are so rare these days that any studio developing them has my full support....for whatever that is worth.

Re: Dark Disciples II

The Dark Disciples website is up and running again. Better yet they have a huge new campaign "Temple of Eternity". I just downloaded it and I'll give it a try tonight.

Re: Dungeons of Dremor

I got it yesterday in the humble bundle. I've been waiting for a version without the Steam/DRM. It looks pretty good at first glance. So many ways to die.

Re: NWN 2

I couldn't agree more. This game would have been awesome with TB combat. To me playing the game means watching every character's attack, figuring the damage, and planning the next attack. In a real time game like NWN2 even with a pause the action is too concentrated to take in everything so you have...

Re: Fun!! Pick My Next Character Build!

How about a no magic, no alchemy, master of all weapons fighter. Make it a point to get all weapon skills to 10 for the feats and collect all the "special" weapons. He's not hard to play, but I had fun with him.

Re: Dark Disciples II

I had no problems with downloading or playing the game. It was totally bug-free for me. The Developer did an interview with the RPG Watch a few months ago: http://www.rpgwatch.com/show/article?articleid=174&ref=0&id=469 So I must assume he is still interested in supporting the game at some l...

Same here. I played and enjoyed Diablo 1 & 2, but I won't be getting 3.

Re: Frayed Knights

For me the question is: TB or not TB? I prefer the isometric view but I would far rather have FPP with TB combat than any kind of RT game.

Re: Frayed Knights

I bought the full game, but I have only had enough time to play the demo part. So far I like the game very much. The dialog, plot, item and spell descriptions are humorous in a good way......not too slapsticky or juvenile, just gently ribbing the RPG genre about it many cliches. The combat is seriou...
