Re: Do advertisements work?
I found Book 1 on a games review site, as I'm sure a lot of other people here have. Hell, when I type in "Old school role playing game" into google, Basilisk Games is the first site listed. I have also made you a sale by recommending the game to a friend (you can thank me later) and that d...

Re: Did I mess up my character? 9possible spoilers I suppose
I've never found dodge to be all that fantastic. I would recommend getting rid of those rings and replacing them with ones that increase base attributes I would also learn foraging if I were you. Even if you're not making much with alchemy, the bits and pieces that you find can always be sold for a ...

Re: Baldur's Gate?
I have run it with no problems on both windows xp and vista. It takes a little trail and error with the compatibility settings, but it is totally doable and it runs perfectly

Re: Wolf Pelt? What for? Just to sell?
Yep. You sell them, if you don't mind lugging them around. At 5 pounds each for not much gold, they're often the first things I jettison if I'm running toward my weight limit. Same here, usually though I have Foraging by that time and sleep to get a bag, put the pelts in them and take the herbs. Co...

Re: Persuasion skill?
Which of the stats would a persuasion skill be backed by? Intelligence maybe? Eschalon doesn't have a "Charisma" stat as such Personally I don't think such a skill would really be necessary, but it's a cool idea none the less. I remember it was quite useful in the original Neverwinter Nigh...

Re: crux of fire?
You have to teleport at one point.
Don't stress too much though, it's a bit of a maze, I remember getting a bit lost in there a couple of times. Just keep going at it.

Old classics
I've been playing around with DosBox (DOS emulator) a little and was wondering if there were any classic old RPGs that I should try.
Or any other DOS only games you can think of, for that matter. I Never had a PC as a child so I feel like I have missed out on quite a bit

Re: Plimus order problem
Well they don't give you a download, they just send you the registration key that you have to type into the first window that pops up when you start the demo
Of course, if you didn't get the registration key then you should probably e mail them again

[Geisha's fanfic] Hamysh the thief, part two
Chapter 2 Hamysh continued along the road leading out of Elderhallow. A cool breeze blowing through the ancient forest of oak and pine that surrounded him. Hamysh soon found himself at a fork in the road, one path leading north, another to the east and the other continuing to the south. A sign in th...
