Re: is it just me or is it always winter in the game
Well, I am in Vancouver, and yes to rain, but no to snow. Not very often at least. But yes, the weather in Eschalon does remind me a bit of here, except it's pretty rare for a thunderstorm to come my way. I cannot remember the last thunderstorm...it has been that long, I'm over in Victoria.

Re: Autosave on arriving on new map
it IS pretty standard these days. Yes...we talked about it and due to potential problems with constant rewriting the same folder it is possible for the content to get corrupted I believe...and by the time we had that conversation it would have been hard to implement a fix with the engine involved.....

Re: Skill System Feedback: Books and Trainers
So basically, the only way you can come up with to defend the current system, is by telling the people who dislike it that it's their fault for having that particular play style? Sheesh. I'm not sure, but in general if you discuss things in a less antagonistic way I'm sure you would get people repl...

Re: Feedback on Book II so far
In other words, Eschalon is a game that doesn't hold your hand, and doesn't constantly babysit you. It's old school. I have to say that having to contort my character to maximize my skills, and having ability scores that are mostly meaningless, are -not- things that I associate with actual old scho...

Re: Finding Book II harder then book I
It takes some experimentation, but trust me- every one of our beta testers, no matter how hard they found the game initially, were masters of the game by the time they finished their second play through. Um, do you understand that many, many people don't think of trial and error as the "fun&qu...

Re: Spelling and grammar
I think europenas are going to find more grammer mistakes then us north americans due to the fact that the majority has it as a second language and learned the grammer rules, where we in north america tend to bastardize it a bit and take short cuts...

I really tried to stay away from this one...but there is one thing to bring up errors(which will get fixed) then there is another to act all high and mighty...not needed and pretty useless.
