I remember my brother teaching me D&D when I was a youngling of but 7. I took a fighter and thief into the B-1 module. The fighter died and the thief managed to revive him (with the help of some magic water from a pool.)

Oh the fun we had playing.

RIP Mr. Gygax.

On reflection, it would of been fun to have the giants at my side in a fight. Thanks for your help involving these items. Yes it is. Especially at night with predator sight. You can probably still complete the "quest" that secures the giant's loyalty. A quick trip to Shadowmirk ...

I'm willing to bet that food will be used quicker than it would spoil. With diseases it might be best to carry around some alcoholic beverages instead of trusting water supplies (given the chance of getting a disease.) Liquid is quite heavy and thereby reduce the amount of spoils that can be carried...

Where you put the four keys on level one of the Goblin Citadel? I must have been rampaging too much to notice. Warrior mage with little skill at Hiding in Shadows was a blast! I knew I was close to finishing the game and was rather excited to do so since I only get a couple of hours at any s...

:D Mostly I was just having a bit of fun..scaring the original poster. But, one time one of them did explode when hit with a rock. When I was demo'ing this game I found out about those barrels the hard way. 'Twas merrily bashing barrels and finding loot in that deserted/destroyed town you start in ...

You must get a paper from a dead man who lived in a small room across Penelope's house. Then you read it. You must then go talk to Eeru and register under the name "Foozgrumph". Then you go through the invisible wall and down the stairs. When you want to exit the room, pull the lever. Thi...

Vekkar in Blackwater wants the acorn . You know, the merchant west of the tavern? The Giants in Crakamir want the giant skull , and in exchange allow you to take the Goblin key they have, and they participate in the battle outside the Goblin Citadel. I find it humorous that you can clean the chest ...

I have had the same experience and could benefit from some specific solutions or recommendations. My character is an adequate fighter and has most of the divination spells, as well as some magic spells. He has 110 HPs and 58 mana points, and was not well developed in the early levels (my first char...

All the portals can be activated, Maelstrom - the one you're referring to (I think) has to be activated from the other end. You'll find it... ;) I figured that would probably be the case. Been a few weeks since I finished the game (destroyer style ) and can't remember where there was a tel...

Food spoilage may be a bit deep especailly if he decides to have deeper dungeons...I'm sure its possible but is that what would work well? Not to mention that it could introduce a mechanic that may not be too fun to deal with. Many, many people playing Civ III complained about corruption rendering ...

Don't be silly Dragonlady , nobody browses these forums or uses the Search Query. Nobody. Well you sit corrected. Something else that helps a lot is the Entangle spell. Level 6 will entangle the baddies and let you beat on them mercilessly.
