Ok, I get that Book I is apparently the first game from Basilisk. Nobody has anything to say on damage reduction? Or are you all feverishly researching. In which case I'm impressed.

Does anybody know what stats, skills or equipment contribute to the "damage reduction" % ?

Also, this is the first Basilisk game I've played--what else would you folks recommend to someone who loves Eschalon?

I don't have the note anymore, but I was sure the ingredients to go into the alembic were ectoplasm and mercury . But it doesn't seem to be working. Am I remembering incorrectly or is my portal broken? It's not a game-breaker, obviously, but since my character is unable to cast a portal spell at the...
