Re: Automapping feature instead of requiring Cartography ski
Maybe it's because I started gaming before there were auto maps--hell, before there were home computers--but I still find this complaint funny. I never start with Cartography, and some play-throughs I don't bother with it at all. The only place where it's really significant is that one maze in Fath...

Re: IJB's Random Book II Gameplay & Gameplay Element Thought
On hammerlorne I think I have the answer to both your questions. One, if you kill off all the current inhabitants of the mines no one in town has a clue that you are the killer, secondly, the horn goes off in the mine, not the town, so again if you have killed everyone off there is no chance of help...

Re: Difficulty Levels
actually it wouldn't be all that hard to implement multiple difficulty settings vs one or two. After all you would just have a multiplier for the monsters stats. So that at easy level it is like X .5 and at hardcore it is like X 2. Or something along that line scaled to a set jump at each difficult...

Re: COMPREHENSIVE Book III 'Wishlist' (List form)
that brings up the option of a flat base for all stats and a set number of free points that can be used to raise those stats with a cap on how high. Like the 5 pts for a skill per level. Lets you have more options of customizing your character or min/maxing depending on your playing style. That kind...

Re: Finished Book 2 as a Mage (spoilers)
[circa Year 300] A bright light falls from the sky. A great thunder is heard in the west. Rarely mentioned in mainstream history books, this event is acknowledged in many religious texts and arcane rituals. Can this information be found in Book I or II? I don't remember. According to Korren this is...

Re: Need Help With The Prospector Quest!
well as you are required to have magical weapon to hit, and you can't wear rings/amulets, you are kinda stuck using thrown weapons. Unless you were to edit your save game and give those thrown weapons gloves a bonus to unarmed instead.

or add that 30% penalty as a chance to miss that you get from using power. Like your 5% thought about missing.

Re: Complete List of Portal Allowed Locations
•The Guild of Crius Vindica <== You can however portal to just outside the entrance and then it is just a very short walk into the place, so really not an issue on this site.

Re: COMPREHENSIVE Book III 'Wishlist' (List form)
you could also tweak it to maybe not let you go to another map while in combat with that special baddie instead of having it follow you. I am thinking this idea, either way it would work best, will be implemented in any case.

but but but I like fresh ground coffee. So a little grinding is ok.
@IJBall, you know if you use the exploding casks the golumn is pretty easy to beat and not a real grind.

Re: Finished Book 2 as a Mage (spoilers)
I wanted to bump this post with some thoughts from my play thru I mentioned earlier. This Circ 300 line is got to be the Orakur arrival. However, as I mentioned we have details from Book II that still lead to them be terestrial not extra-terestrial. The captured Orakur does not say space or stars at...

Re: Shouldn't Korren Know? [Spoilers]
I think it goes back to rushing thru the plot details at the end after working so long on the game engine and mechanics. BW said he didn't get to put as much time into it as he wanted or was able to put into Book I.
