Re: Baldur's Gate and DnD

is that the starting levels, or average levels? How high of level do you normally go before you retire your characters and start off anew, so to speak? It has been forever since I did anything like that, too. Used to get together every friday night for one game, and saturday for another. Heck my wee...

Re: nobody is going to like this camping suggestion...

Ultimately I think you need to go with where your heart leads you Thom. Personally I wouldn't use the automap feature and agree that it does take away from the old school feel. I do also, on the other hand, agree that by adding it as an option, like you did with thirst/hunger, that it would probably...

Trainers First......

I was reading thru some of the posts today and it got me to thinking about something with all the trainers and such not. Has anyone started up a character and pretty much saved ALL of their points they normally would have spent on these *trainable* skills until after they found the trainer and maxed...

I agree with ^^^ I actually used to have a blast with other PnP games like Rifts, Vampire The Masquerade, Werewolf The Apocalypse, Cyberpunk 2020......the list goes on from there.

Re: nobody is going to like this camping suggestion...

I think this would be both a good thing and a bad thing. Including what you have suggested Thom. I have a possible solution. Just as you added thirst/hunger/rain effects to Book II with the option of not having thrist/hunger. Why too could you not do the same with Book III. Just make it an option th...

Re: Baldur's Gate and DnD

I actually just got rid of my gaming books about 6 months ago, BUT, I was glad to do it. I sold them to a father who grew up gaming and was looking to start his son out on the legacy of AD&D paper/pencil gaming. They got a steal, all my 1st addition books, including mint condition Fiend Folio, a...

Re: Arthur, level 1 melee.

Honestly I don't see it fixing the exploit. I mean if someone really wants to exploit the foraging by moving, nothing stops them from pointing their guy towards a tree, and having the move button pressed making them *walk*, or simply just strolling around a completed map tile endlessly. then camp, t...

Re: How will you survive? [Heavy Spoilers]

Though remember there are pictures of a floating city that they could have come *down* from. Thus they would still need a ship to get back *up* do the floating city. Why would the Orakur only have one "ship" to travel between the surface of Eschalon and the giant floating city? If the Ora...

Re: How will you survive? [Heavy Spoilers]

anyone remember what the *one* looks like. I have not played for a while and can't remember the cut scene. If he and Shina look different that would make Shina not Orakur. I keep forgettting this point. LOL

Re: How will you survive? [Heavy Spoilers]

BW has been very careful not to confirm or deny any of our suppositions about the storyline for the series. He hasn't confirmed or denied anything but he likes hinting. Ironically your link jumps right to my post in that thread. Though it does bring up some fun thoughts still. I mean I don't think ...

Ya know it worries me when I see men luring sheep back to their homes. Maybe it is my Irish heritage at fault. LOL

but honestly we have always know this about BW. He has said so in the past as well. One of the many great things about Thom.
