Re: Where is Phillip?
Ah! Now I remember. Yeah I was off. Come to think of it there are few NPCs that would break the game if they died. There is the soldier who is your exit out of Darkford and there's Siam (more game crashing) though he doesn't even have to die! Then a couple others who could be considered as such but ...

Re: Where is Phillip?
Is Phillip the husband of a woman at a crossroads that asks you to find him? (Can't recall) If so then no, he's not a game stopping NPC in any respect. However you might want to inspect the route to Bordertown a little more carefully. If I recall correctly he was in a hurry and might have tried to f...

Awesome, just the way I like it.BasiliskWrangler wrote:I didn't put any of these quests directly into the game, but they are all inspirational and some of the concepts / elements were definitely the basis for a few quests in Book 2.Jedi_Learner wrote:So did any of these ideas make their way in some form into Eschalon: Book II?

Re: thoughts on weaponry
Out of blatant curiosity how does weapon weight play into the battle mechanics? This question I guess applies to both Books I and II (and eventually III when it becomes more relevant). I know it it works as an inventory limiter and has appropriate limitations on casting in Book I, but does it play i...

Re: Having a good reason to kill L. (major spoilers)
I liked this design choice. A unique reward for an evil act. Indeed, though it is a shame that we can't take advantage of her alleged "Bee allergy." At least not to the extent that would make it seem as though Lilith were telling the truth about it. The way I pretend to see it, ...

Re: How many games have you finished so far?
My earliest confirmed memories are of video games so I've honestly been in the habit of playing video games since before I can remember. This already puts this at a minimum of 16 of my 22 years. It would be shorter (and more interesting for me) to list the video games I've played and haven't finishe...

Mysterious blood red fog...
Not sure if it's ever been pointed out, I did do a preliminary forum search but nothing about it turned up. Anyway this is something I discovered lately. I left the grid up for locating purposes. http://img638.imageshack.us/img638/6550/eschalonbloodfog.png Right around that area are a bunch of squar...

Re: I want to put some of my items into the chest in Aridell
If you have the spell "Charm" you can turn somebody who is mad at you into your friend. Unfortunately, that changes when the spell wears off...... Actually I've never known it to wear off with NPCs other than those who are naturally enemies. So the charmed innkeeper will forgive for good.

What? I'm just looking for Donkey Kong.MyGameCompany wrote:All the sealed barrels I bust open are empty. Rarely has one ever had anything in it for me. So probably the council lady is watching me thinking, "What an idiot! Why's he busting up empty barrels?"

Re: I want to put some of my items into the chest in Aridell
The items will stay there until you come back to reclaim them. Just be wary of taking items from chests when other people are around to see. If a person sees you taking items out of a chest they'll assume you're stealing that item even if you're the one that put it there in the first place. This goe...

Irony!
I just spent a fair bit of a while (about 40+ turns) with a character who I'm basically playing as a straight warrior (there will probably be some exceptions in the future, but I'm not going to go out of my way for them) breaking a locked chest open with a hatchet. What should I find inside? Why a h...

That's a one time 2 point bonus, to be unnecessarily specific, as you probably already knew that.
