Amiga !!! Good times... Played tons of RPGs on it. Still have it on a desk, but my wife insists on throwing it to the dump because it takes space and I only use it once a year or so now :( . The PC has definitely won the battle. I've tried WinUAE a few times, but not very easy to setup, sometimes it...

Oh -and BioWare wasn't interested in NWN2, so I think their interest in NWN3 is long gone. What I meant is that a new studio will develop NWN3. Who will it be ? In any case it will be a new NWN, with new engine and gameplay (it will be powered by D&D 4th edition rules), and not a follow-up of N...

The "use based" XP question is an interesting one. I think it sort of makes sense for you to get XP for doing something like lock picking...however the problem I usually have with that is you tend to want to just sit there and lock pick over and over to immprove your skill which I dont re...

Illuvar- Grue is correct. No translation plans at this time. The biggest problem with translating Book I is that I don't think the font set used in the game supports alternate language characters, That would be a problem for french translation, with acute, grave and circumflex accents, cedillas, an...

Oh, I can play at night, I go to bed very very late... But I prefer surfing, and playing daytime (don't know why though). If the dungeons aren't too dark, it will certainly be playable for me. If no tester has complained until now, it's probably OK. And I can still fiddle with my screen settings any...

Nice response Gallifrey. Now, the dungeons are not totally black- they are very dark but not black. We don't have any brightness or gamma sliders in the game...perhaps I need to adjust the brightness up a bit if you were seeing them as black, Gallifrey? OOOps, noticing this post now. Light in the d...

[semi OT] Baldur's gate dark alliance

I played Baldur's gate dark alliance 1, and I'm almost done with Baldur's gate dark alliance 2, on PS2. These are action RPGs, diablo-like games, but based on Dungeons and dragons rules, so with a solid RPG background. Nice story (especially the #2), but obviously 100% railroady. These are probably ...

I played it through several times and liked it quite a bit. I enjoy the "pseudo 3D" RPG engines (Eye of the Beholder, Dungeon Master, Lands of Lore, Might & Magic 1-6) immensely and Basilisk Games most certainly has plans to create a game using that type of engine.... :D Keep us infor...

Good old times :)
He he. THE reason why I got a second disk drive at the time... Fixed the problem.

I love these pseudo3D RPGs (and yes, I began with EOB1 on amiga too :D ) Believe it or not, Lands of Lore 1 was one of the main reasons for me to swich from amiga to PC, I simply HAD to play this EOB follow-up. Lands of lore 1 was fantastic, probably the pinnacle of pseudo3D RPGs. LoL 2 was full 3D,...
