Re: Ginats Village (spoilers)

4) You'll just have to cast them from the spellbook I guess (which overwrites hotkey #1 each time). It's not liek there is any real-time rush to cast a spell. Lay back and enjoy the flowers. Oh wait, that could apply to #3 as well, except there aren't in flowers int he deep south. i already made a ...

Indeed, with quests that play inside a city (and its sewers for example).

I think if you add both areas, you should somewhere point out how much percent the demo is of the full game, because a large demo could lead to false expectations about the length of the full game. (which is, of course, too short. ;) )

Did you find the Oubliette yet .. similar, but rather upmarket. 8>.
The oubliette totally freaked me out. I just ran out of torches, so i had to use only cats eye to find around..
What a relief that ladder to the top was. ;)

Fist, I would like to see some more dungeon riddles with switches / floor plates and portcullies. According to the manual you can flip switches from a distance through throwing something at them, or cast a spell on it. I never (had to) used that in Book1. Dungeonmaster had nice riddles in that direc...

It's funny- people request more and more realism in RPGs, and what you just described sounds very real to me: you find an object, sell it, and later regret getting rid of it. I don't think any "storyline critical" objects can be sold or dropped, however minor quest objects can be. ...

ah, i saw your changes on the main page, much better direction to the demo! another suggestion: the "basiliks games"-logo ontop of the forums should point to your homepage instead of the forums? (maybe split it), because if users find their way into here first, its a little bit complicated...

To baslisk, can't you modify the orginal engine so that the partymembers can join you, and be A.I. controlled? though this would be less desirable, and could result in poor A.I. decisions, it owuld still be better than option 1 and 3, plus it owuld make for some good roleplaying and plots. (i.e. a ...

Another idea for option 1 with party would be a special combat screen/arena, where times for turns could be processed independently from the gameworld. Think albion if you know that game. In the normal game world the party could be represented by a single person, or "group icon". Sure, the...

While we´re at it: there is a minor problem with the alpha map in one of the attack animations of the raptor.
Sadly i cant remember which direction, but for a short time during the attack you see a black dot appearing in the air around the raptor.

It's sad but one small article in a major game magazine would probably boost sales big time. I think BasiliskW awaits 2-3 reviews from european mags. Of course he has to be lucky to get a reviewer who will look beyond the graphics and generally likes SP-(old school)-RPGs at all, (sadly the mags eye...
