Re: Very Excited for this game.

and if possible could someone explain to me what Origin and Ajciom are with the classes in the screenshot? BW will have to give you the definitive answer, but judging from the screenshot, they both seem add a little "extra color" to your character. Origin seems to be your character's cult...

Ditto! I fully understand you've had other priorities (like getting the game finished), so no worries. Good to hear though, that you will continue working on the manual even after the release.

Cloth maps will be coming...if not with Book II, Book III for sure. Wa-hey!! Great news! 8) About the manual, if at all possible, could you include the "crunchy bits" of the game system (aka rules) in there somewhere (in sidebars or the appendix perhaps). At least the basics of what goes ...

Gratz, BasiliskWrangler! :)

P.S. From what I've seen of Mass Effect, it and Eschalon will not have very much in common even if both are dubbed RPGs. Genres and platforms aside, Mass Effect will be an action RPG and we all know what that means...

1) There are looked doors with no way to open them in some places. 3) You can loot people's homes and they don't react at all. Seems silly. To me, the permanently locked doors aren't as bad as the fact that you are "cordoned off" by low walls, fences and the like. I guess it's due to the ...

Also I like to see corpses still lying where I killed them after it's all over. FWIW, there are no corpses as such in the European, noncensored version either. There is a generic "pile of remains" where your foe(s) fell and it's only for those foes that dropped loot (those that didn't, ju...

At home now. Sorry for the interruption. Would you believe, they actually expect you to work at your workplace! Unbelieveable! ;) Saxon1974, it sounds "actiony," yes. And I would say it is "actiony." The combat system requires quite precise mouse control and while you can pause t...

I bought the Witcher yesterday and got to play it for 4-5 hours. It is not enough to properly review the game (not even close), but I'll give you few of my early impressions about it. First thing that hits you, is that the game is very beautiful to behold (as can be seen from the screenshots obvious...

I don't like it as much as Vault Dweller and I dont think its great, but It is good and I think its well worth 20$, its a huge improvment from the original campaign. OK. Well, even if it is "just" good, it's more than all right for the lower price (however, it is 30 Euros here in Euroland...

Thanks for the link. Haven't been following RPG Codex that closely and had missed the review. After reading that review, with Vault Dweller (who does not give away praise too often) saying something like, "It’s definitely, 100% one of the best RPGs I've ever played," it surely piques my ...

{snip} until a fan patch fixes combat {snip} Amen! That is exactly what I'm waiting for as well. For me, Gothic 3's combat system ruined the whole game. Unfortunately, I doubt (like you) we'll ever get such a patch, especially now that PB is no longer working on the patches, since they parted ways ...

The one problem is you need the amiga ROM files to get it to run, and they aren't free. I searched the net for free ones and couldnt find them so had to buy them from amigaforever for 29.99. Had somehow missed this little (but critical) piece of info. Hmm, these ROM files wouldn't be the ones on th...

Yeah, I fear that Oblivion is going to be used as a model for "good" CRPGs by the big companies. The key words being easier and faster, which can be translated as dumber and shallower. This all IMHO, of course.
