Re: Ruel treasure chests room
One area that seems to generate light bronze stuff is the dungeon below the dam. I found 3 or 4 pieces there, but had forgotten about needing bronze stuff and sold all the stuff back in town. Oops! It might be worth a try for those who are not too far in the game to give that dungeon a looksie. I'll...

Re: Reveal Map spell-suggestion to change it.
I've found that if I keep cartography at exactly level 1, then my revealed map doesn't get overwritten even if I let the spell lapse. It stays fully explored. If I raise my skill to level 2 or higher, then all of a sudden it starts remapping at the lower level. For me, just keeping a basic cartograp...

Re: Reveal Map spell-suggestion to change it.
@Drixx, wow thanks! The spell is much more usefull if it remembers what you've seen when it was on. If I have a low level cart skill, then will it just revert to my poorly drawn map when the spell wears off? If that's the case I'd still like some changes to the spell, but I can see it's still more u...

Reveal Map spell-suggestion to change it.
Alright, I've read a few suggestions about how reveal map can replace the cartography skill, but unless I'm missing something it's a completely useless spell. Your character isn't smart enough to write down what the spell reveals! Duh! The spell cast at level 3 lasts 30 seconds and does a good enoug...

Re: aren't u goin to update the front page
Very well done! I'm glad that folks over at RPGWatch are very good about keeping everyone updated on Book II. I've got to clear up my calendar so that I can make some quality time for this game.

Re: 2Worlds II
I enjoyed Oblivion much more than Two Worlds. The translation to English in Two Worlds was horrible. Bethesda also allowed Oblivion to be heavily modded which has kept the game on my hard drive since it was released. The alchemy system is better in Oblivion too. That said, Two Worlds was a fine game...

Re: Do Spellcasters Get a Chance At 'Feats' Too?
As long as my mage has the same chance of clearing maps as my paladin the game is balanced. If a sword and shield guy can wipe out a map and only drink a potion or two the whole time, and a mage has to rest 6 times and drink 12 restore mana potions, the game is heavily imbalanced. Both should use di...

Re: Do Spellcasters Get a Chance At 'Feats' Too?
I'm sure BW will have beta-testers that are pro magic-user. They'll whine at him until he balances them better than last game. I agree with the folks that want magical damage to increase based on intelligence/perception stats and points in Elemental magic. I'm also hoping to see a lot more secret st...

Re: Replaying Book I, a few questions
I should also note that I was playing 1.02 until yesterday. If there were balance patches in 1.03 or 1.04 then that might also make a difference. I'm playing 1.04 now. I saw there was a 1.05 but I didn't wanna bug Tom with getting a new download. I think he just might be busy with more important stu...

Re: Replaying Book I, a few questions
Even if mages are weaker than melee, I'm obviously having fun. I can't tell you how many builds I have in this game. Maybe 15+? I've got loads of save games, since I move the 10 saves into a different folder and start a new batch of saves each time I tackle a new area. I should also clarify: I belie...

Re: Compiled: Book II Complete Feature List
Interesting list. We see that melee combat has been upgraded but it was already way more powerful than magic combat. I'm hoping that mage skills get significant bonuses at level 10 too. I'm really interested to see if mages get their due in Book II. I've been playing Book I again and playing through...

Re: Replaying Book I, a few questions
While I can't comment on the amount of balancing needed, this "all classes should be created equal" mentality is the real flaw, if you ask me. Learning how to best play the character class you prefer should be part of the challenge. Having some classes be more difficult to master is hardl...

Re: Replaying Book I, a few questions
I know that you can finish the game with one. I was just wondering if they ever got balanced. If one class is significantly better/worse than others then this is a sign of sloppy design. I was hoping that Tom was able to perfect his design by patching Book I. Otherwise, Book II may have the same gla...

Replaying Book I, a few questions
Playing a mage character in the early days was very difficult, did later patches make magic=melee? I prefer mages over any other type of avatar. I've got a new pc with Windows 7 but I just threw my XP hard drive into the new machine and Eschalon seems to work fine. Is there any reason to re-install?...
