Shift-clicking is the key to bashing.
Same will be true of Demon Oil - if Demon Oil is set up as your primary weapon, shift-clicking a door will get your character to throw the Demon Oil at the door. Just make sure your character's stepped back a few steps!

Re: Book II Questions Thread
New Book II questions (these are pretty straight-forward): 1. Will there be an "Undo Last Move" option? The reason I ask this one is that I can't tell you how many times playing Book I I've been meaning to shoot arrows at, say, the mean Barrean mercenary coming my way, but have accidentall...

Goblin "On the Rocks" (Minor Bug)
Check this out (I hope I'm doing this right...): Goblin_on_the_Rocks.jpg Er, I swear I had nothing to do with this! (Still, not being able to bash that goblin's brains in does make me mad! I couldn't even Fleshboil the sucker!! ) I guess we can put this down as another minor Book I ...

Re: Wish List for Book II {Compiled}
I'd really like to see the spear as a melee weapon. Spears are melee weapons in Book II. Javelins are thrown. Does this mean that we'll have the option to use spears as either thrown weapons or melee weapons? Or does this mean that spears are not going to be 'thrown weapons' at all in Book II , and...

Re: Vela Goblin Key
I've got a better question!:
How do I get treasure from the bodies in Vela that are underwater?!
(Ah, if only I could sent my char's swimming for treasure. [sigh...] )

Re: Any news soon?
We are currently locked away in the studio rendering, writing, and programming. We've recently finished up all the work on the GUI (all icons in place and functioning) and we have been testing out the new combat modes. Map work is progressing daily, but while graphic work and programming are still ...

Re: My FInal Thoughts Upon Finishing Eschalon B1 (No Spoilers)
For the record, I think putting a "maximum cap" on some Skills would also be helpful. Now, apparently, Cartography still grants you benefits up through Level 17 or 19 or something, and Mercantile keeps paying off (pun intended) up and through Level 30, and I guess there's no limit to uppin...

Re: Regeneration of Monsters
That being said, I definitely would not be a fan of random encounters, not in this type of RPG. Regeneration is the name of the game. On loading each map there should be a percentage chance, however small, that some enemies appear somewhere on that map. There shouldn't be any scaling of the enemy l...

Re: Will Book II start at a higher level?
Greetings jwdenzel. Book II starts with a Level 1 character. The storyline picks up a couple years after Book I... A "couple of years"? Or actually more like a decade (in game time)? Because it seems to me like it would take more than a "couple of years" for Thaermore to "f...

Re: Ultima III!
Just one quick question: I bought horses, but what good are they? I was hoping I'd move faster on the screen to speed gameplay up a bit but it's not that. My recollection with horses in U3 is not that you move "faster" on screen, but that on horses you get two moves for enemies' one, so y...

Re: Some Little Known Roguelikes
I love dungeon crawl stone soup version! Cool - maybe you can explain to me how to get the 'tile' version working then. For reference, I'm trying to play this on a Mac - when I launch the app, the old text version launches. I went through the docs but could find no mention on how to bring up the ti...

Re: easter eggs
I don't think so - in both the Ossuary and Shadowmirk, I always leave the chests open - it makes no difference, they still work.Kreador Freeaxe wrote:You may, however, need to close the chests. I don't recall.

Re: easter eggs
After putting the items (ring, hammer, ash, apple) in the chests, the portculli does not open, by stepping on the plate. I can see a poltergeist, but how to get through? Specifically, the "hammer" needs to be any Bludgeoning Weapon - make sure it's a Bludgeoning. As for the ring, maybe it...

Re: CrazyBernie's Book II Wishlist (updated as I play Book I)
In the Book I forum, somebody suggested an Amulet of Predator Sight, which I think would be perfect for a rogue. So mind-bogglingly useful that it should probably be hard to get. Too bad you can only wear one amulet at a time. If you had an Amulet of Predator Sight combined with an Amulet of Cat's ...

Re: How Are You Going To Play Book II?
Considering I had poor luck in Book I with the first two times I played as a Ranger, I think I'm highly likely to play Book II as a Fighter or as an Elemental Mage first. I think I'm more somewhat likely to play the Fighter first, as I found playing Mage to be almost a cake-walk in Book I. Once I've...
