Ah, I thought that was as designed. I had assumed you needed to move a bit in order to hide. If you move 2 squares after you extinguish your torch you should start hiding again.

Swap/change equipment suggestion

Currently there is no penalty for swapping equipment during battle. An example of why this is a problem is to get around the carry weight limitation, you can just press ENTER to swap to no weapon and cast. I think changing it so any equipment change is a turn would be better for game balance.

Demon Oil suggestion

With my latest run through, I realized how overpowered Demon Oil is. I think if you have no throwing skill, Demon Oil shouldn't go anywhere near where you throw it. Throwing should be a danger to yourself if you aren't skilled at Throwing. As your throwing increase, the chance it goes in the square ...

While on the xp subject, I don't think disarm and picking locks should decrease as your skill goes up. You get the same xp for killing a salamander at level 1 as you do at level 15, so why not the same for locks and traps? It would be different if there were a fixed amount of xp, but since you can g...

Major game spoilers follow: You did an excellent job at not requiring prior quests to be completed. So I didn't do any, except for the one to get into the vault, that seems to be the only required quest, if you want 2 of the endings. I assume you don't even need to do that one for the destroyer endi...

And here is my submission for "Speed Game" and "Noob". Both can be improved upon, but not by me (just because I don't want to do it again, I know where I could have done better in both counts) :) And if anyone cares, I am wearing the same clothes you start with and using the iron...

Here is another one.

Noob (or come up with a better name). Finish the game with the lowest amount of experience.

While true, most old games were all entirely party based, it was not until Fallout that I finally enjoyed a party based game, in that you could strategically move and control your NPC's. I loved the old Gold Box games because of the strategy you could use in combat. I still remember opening doors a...

When I think old school, I always think party based. Wizardy, Gold Box, EoB, M&M, etc. What old school are you thinking of with solo play? Roguelikes?

I'm going to abstain and just vote whatever is best for Basilisk. I don't mind any of the options listed. While I am itching for a good party based game, I'd be happy with another game in the same engine.

What time is involved with each option? While I want party based, if I had to wait 4 years for a party based Book II but could get a solo Book II in 1 year, then I'd vote for solo. :)

That makes sense. I only got 15 books. I was really trying to find others too. So no books for Shield, Dodge, Lore, Meditation, Move Silently, Survival, Unarmed Combat, Short-Bladed weapons, or Thrown weapons.
