Walking speed too slow?

Is there any ways in the game so the walking speed of the main character could be increased? I loved game but slowness made me boring?

What is the speed of your computer? What is your graphics card? What is your performance rating (in the Options menu)?

I have also very slow walking speed. What does the "silent" message mean in the screen to the right?

My computer should be fast enough, it's amd athlon 3200 with radeon HD 3850 video card, which I bought few months ago.

"Silent" means you're not making any noise. That's a good thing because some of the creatures will investigate a spot from which they hear noise, so it allows you to sneak around better.

My computer has no lag at all but I think it's just the default speed feeling a little slow in areas already cleared.

If you're going through areas you've already cleared (and explored), Higher Game, don't forget you might be able to travel faster using Quick Travel, if you can work out an appropriate route.
