Character hacking...how important is it?

Here's where all things related to Book II are being discussed!

Should we allow character hacking with future games?

Hacking character files should NOT be allowed!

I think that you should allow character hacking because it's just not worth your time to try and prevent it unless you're going to have online leaderboards or something like that.

Maybe there's a way to allow character hacking but to flag the savefile that the character has been altered (of course it would probably be easy enough for people to change that, but it doesn't matter), just so you know that they've been toying with their character when they come running to you for support?

Have it a rewards system, that finishing the game one time around, no matter the difficulty unlocks a "Veteran Mode". In the beginning of start up along with the other check boxes. If checked you receive a -20% to score. This editor is made to create a level 15 character and includes all trainers points if desired. If a player choses the all the points from a trainer to be added, the will get an additional -2% for each trainer skills used like this. Players will still need to find books. Players then pick an armor set that is key to their player.

Light Armour
Heavy Armour
Caster Gear

They also pick the bonus stat.

LA: Each piece includes +1 dex and the following bonus to armor;
+Toxin Resist
or
+Disease Resist

Amulet of the Hunter:
+2 To hit
+2 Light Armour
+2 Speed
+2 Cartography

HA: Each piece includes +1 str and the following bonus to armor;
+Armor bonus
or
+Health bonus

Amulet of the Defender:
+2 Damage
+2 Heavy Armour
+2 Shields
+4 Endurance

CG: Each piece includes +1 perc and the following bonus to armor;
+Elemental Resist
or
+Magik Resist
or
+ Mana

Amulet of Origins:
+2 Divine
+2 Elemental
+2 Concentration
+2 Perception

This will have players be able to play the game as intended then fool around after however they wish ^.^
