Hi all:
Has anyone figured out the mystery of the lever in the Aridell blacksmith's shop? The one that doesn't seem to do anything?
After hunting all over the Aridell map (yes I have finished the game but can't stop playing) I have a theory. I noticed that the door between the blacksmith's front room and back room (where the anvil is) is actually an "open portcullis" tile. I bet the lever originally controlled that door. But then some enterprising beta tester realized you could kill the blacksmith with it (accidentally, of course...), so BW "deactivated" the portcullis but didn't remove the lever.
Any thoughts?
Or, BW -- will you ease the pain of those of us who can't abide a loose end?

Actually, that lever opens the trapdoor that leads down to the secret cellar.
Down there you'll need a decent perception score to spot the small pond with the red herring.
The scales of the red herring mixed with demon oil can be used as fuel for the chainsaw, which then can be used in Dr. Fred's mansion to repair the stairs in the library.
