What is ironic about the name of the "one"?

Not that anyone cares but I'll post the answer if someone does in the future. The *One* only has one line of dialogue in Book II which is in the ending cinematic.

Hopefully he'll have more in Book III.

I'm not sure if that's irony or just peculiar coincidence.
