Re: Can we have more exp for portcullis usage please!!

We should get more EXP for using portcullis to kill enemies than we do now.. I was being attacked by 8 raptors because i tried to run for it , rather than risk certain death i used the portcullis on each and only got 25EXP per kill. Compared to 125 exp by normal attacking , i think we should get at...

[Bug] Thugs who see in the night

I was in the Eastern Salted Coast, by the area where you find the sextant. 1) Have torch in hand 2) spot thug on screen 3) cast cat's eyes 4) extinguish torch When the thug got close to me he had no darkness penalties, only I did. As long as I do not have a torch out when I see the thug, the thug wi...

The flask of Incinerator Fuel is the granddaddy of demon oils. It covers more territory and burns longer. You get about three uses out of it. Had great fun using it on BombGoblins. Just run around let them group together and throw it. You may want to quaff a haste potion before you hurl it to get o...

Voting Option One. I think the engine is fine as is. Add a few more tweaks to it and I'd be happy with that for Book II... plus it won't take you longer to develop. :D

Save the new engine for after Book III. ;)

I have 2 dresser drawers full of all my old Amiga floppy disks. I had an Amiga 500 then got an Amiga 4000, years and years ago.

Miss those days.

While true, most old games were all entirely party based, it was not until Fallout that I finally enjoyed a party based game, in that you could strategically move and control your NPC's. ehm, wasn´t the "party" in fallout entirely controlled by the ai? i hated the party aspect in fallout...

Forgot about that. Maybe if the character selects that option, they end the conversation right next to him?

Still too easy though... hmmm.

I have not played through yet as a mage.

[Suggestion] Final Battle SPOILER

In the final battle where you fight the goblin shaman and his friends, sadly, you can walk right up next to him and start the conversation. After the conversation and the fight begins, since I am standing right next to him, in 2-3 hit's he is dead (as a fighter). Is it possible to have the conversat...

Re: Rabbit's foot bugged?

Not sure, but I think when I had a rabbit's foot (+6 to dodge) but no actual base dodge skill I was not seeing any missed attacks .. in a new game with dodge of only 1 (and no rabbit's foot yet) I see the effect. of course the old game was 1.01, and I'm now on 1.02, so that may be it? Or maybe the ...

Yea, I would lose everything, but I am wanting to start over from scratch and try a mage, and figured that was the best way to do it.

Thanks. :)

When I think old school, I always think party based. Wizardy, Gold Box, EoB, M&M, etc. What old school are you thinking of with solo play? Roguelikes? Pagan :P While true, most old games were all entirely party based, it was not until Fallout that I finally enjoyed a party based game, in that y...

paperpusher: This seems to be related to saving over existing games. I recommend always taking the extra step to delete old saves first before saving into the slot. I am looking into this problem now. Can I assume you can safely delete the "Eschalon Book I Save Games" folder in My Documen...

Before I vote, the Option 3.. a Wizardry 8 like... Would that mean we would not be strategically moving/controlling the NPC's? We would just enter combat and then do Character 1: Cast/Fight/Do Nothing, Character 2: Cast/Fight/Do Nothing etc? If you could archive say a Fallout/Arcanum like party turn...
