Still, 3 skill points/lvl just isn't enough (or am I missing something)? I don't think you're missing something per se. The issue here is one of balance, in that it is largely skill-based rather than class-based. Your chosen class effects 3 things: Starting bonus skill (Swords, Bows, Pick Locks, El...

Rogues are analogous to the classical Wizards: Pretty weak early on, but amazingly powerful in the latter stages of the game.

Hide in Shadows seems weak now, but when it gets high enough it renders you all but invisible.

Early? Bordertown or Blackwater, but even earlier? Don't think so ... and there are lots of chests before and none of them I wanna miss. It's random. It can absolutely show up in Aridell. There's always the possibility of +Pick Locks items as well. Plus, what's to say you can't simply go back for l...

Buffs from spells or potions can be good as well, such as Bless or Nimbleness.

One tactic that doesn't strictly increase your toHit but can level the playing field if you're up against tough baddies is to fight in the dark but with the benefit of Cat's Eyes / Predator Sight.

Best thing in my opinion is: start with Elemental, Meditation, get them to 6/5 and put one point in Picklock. Save the rest. At level 2 you now have 8 points to distribute and you can spend 5 of them on a certain skill... so you will have 10 in either Elemental or Meditation by lvl 2... Pick Locks ...

Ouch! Yep Morgendil, you need to put points into perception. You only need 20 intelligence for the whole game. All the rest of your points should be dumped into perception. Perception raises Mana much more so than Intelligence. As a note, Intelligence is not useless; it does effect Elemental Resist...

It's funny- people request more and more realism in RPGs, and what you just described sounds very real to me: you find an object, sell it, and later regret getting rid of it. I don't think any "storyline critical" objects can be sold or dropped, however minor quest objects can be. ...

Ok, I am level 4 and just tried to find Bordertown... got killed on the road, so it seems those trainers (assuming the limit is level 5 on the training) are not really that useful, except maybe the alchemy, if I hold off till then. It's possible to get not only to Bordertown but to Blackwater at Le...

Re: Specific list?

Hi, Can I get a more explicit list of which town has which trainers? Now that I have played a bit, I want to restart and maximize my points a bit. So, I know that the Cartography trainer is in Arindell. Where are the rest that you mention? Thanks, Michi Aridell: Cartography (Must complete quest) Bo...

You must have rolled almost all 14's! Only about a 0.003% chance of rolling stats with a collective score that high or better. But hey, it's after adding 15 points from the "starting pool". Forgive me, my fault I didn't wrote it and said "rolled" - here's the mistake. But even a...

I don't like Harry Potter.

Too.... childish. I prefer more mature sagas.
Consider giving it another try sometime. There is definitely a touch of "teenage coming of age", but only a touch. In the end it is definitely a fantasy epic.

Guys, to learn new and more powerful spells, do i need to increase my "INT" points, or is it "Elemental skill" only? It seems to me that adding "Perception" is the way to go since it gives more mana. There are minimums for both the appropriate Arcane skill and the appr...
