Curious about your team's dev platform plans.. and sorry if I missed previous posts.
Awhile back I purchased a license for blitzmax and blide, but never got started. Recently I revisted / reinstalled to discover that the folks that made blitzmax are now touting their new language"monkey" along with a new ide "jungle" by the blide folks. Ugh.
Just curious if you guys stuck with blitz for book 3 and do you plan to stick with it? I saw a mention about the Unity engine.. did you guys decide?

Re: dev platform plans?
Yep, same engine for Book 3, made using BlitzMax.
We are dropping BlitzMax after Book III. We will not use Monkey. Not 100% sure what we are moving to, but Unity is still the most likely choice.
In our opinion, the people that make BlitzMax completely screwed up when they made Monkey. Monkey code is completely incompatible with BlitzMax code, and they've all but abandoned BlitzMax development. What they should have done is made BlitzMax 2.0, with expanded platform support (like Monkey) but remaining largely code compatible with original BlitzMax.
